Tomislav Kuzmanovic
is the translator of The Death of the
Little Match Girl (Smrt Djevojcice sa žigicama ) by
Zoran Feric; and, with Russell Valentino, A Castle in Romagna (Dvorac u Romagni)
by Igor Štiks. His translations
of fiction, poetry and essays have appeared in various publications
in the USA, Croatia and elsewhere, including: The Iowa Review,
91st Meridian, eXchanges, Poetry
International Web, Relations, Quorum, Frakcija,
and The New European Poetry Anthology. He earned his MFA in
literary translation from the University of Iowa, and he has worked
with the Festival of the European Short Story, the Croatian
PEN Centre’s Literature Live Poetry Festival and the Croatian
Centre for the Book. Born in Zagreb in 1977, he currently
teaches literary translation at the University of Zadar.
