The best way to support us is to order our books -- for yourself, your friends, your students, family, loved ones, in short, for anyone who appreciates literature that reaches beyond and also deep inside the U.S.A. We hope you will try your local book store first, since locally owned book stores are a precious thing, cared for by people who care about the sorts of books we publish. As a non-profit independent press, we couldn't do what we do without the generosity of grants organizations and donors. If you would like to contribute, either to a specific upcoming title, or to our on-going efforts to bring international titles into English, we won't say no! If you're feeling great-souled, or even merely generous, feel free to drop a check in the mail to Autumn Hill Books, 1138 E. Benson Court, Bloomington, IN 47401. Or write us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. And thank you!
Normally AHB accepts submissions during May and November. Right now, however, we are trying to catch up so are not accepting any new work. Please stop back in a few months if you are still looking for a home for your book. When we reopen for submissions, you'll want to visit our Submittable site and upload an excerpt of approximately 20 pages along with a cover letter introducing yourself and the project. We are a small staff, so please be patient when submitting. If you haven't heard back from us within six months, feel free to write a follow-up email inquiring about the work. While we prefer submissions via our Submittable account, you may also send us submissions via snail mail to the address listed here. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope for our reply. For the moment, the magazine (M-Dash) is also on hiatus: we are reflecting, a necessary thing from time to time lest one bcome the arrow or tumble off it while it flies. Come back. We'll be better soon.
